If you have unexplained symptoms and have trolled through the web long enough then sooner or later there will have been the suggestion that your symptoms could be caused by the Candida fungus. So how do you find out?

This is a quick and simple Candida spit test that won’t tell you if Candida is causing your problems, but it will let you know if you have an overgrowth of the fungus and whether it is possible that Candida albicans is the cause of your problem.
1. First thing in the morning – before you do anything else – fill a glass with clean water, preferably room temperature.
2. Work up a bit of saliva, then spit it into the glass of water.
3. Check the water every 15 minutes or so for up to one hour.

If the saliva continues to float on top then that is a pretty good indication that the Candida is under control and not contributing or causing your symptoms.
If the saliva starts to grow legs, becomes stringy and then a mass of cloudy spit settles on the bottom of the glass then Candida definitely is a potential threat.

The Candida spit test will only give a strong indication whether the fungal overgrowth is causing trouble. There are many people who fail this test miserably but who are also completely symptom free! So it is wise to get a ‘second opinion’ of sorts.
